The world, life, it can all be so very confusing and easy to lose our sense of self. We can become engrossed in the superficial details of everyday life and lose track of what is truly important and meaningful. Yoga brings us back to our basic needs and allows us to nourish them creating over-all well being, health and fitness all while giving back to the universe.
I was initially inspired by the healing attributes of a regular yoga practice.
I have been teaching yoga since 2014 and practicing for years. Living in a somewhat remote area, yoga classes were far and few between. I practiced with recorded CD’S, an occasional “resort class” and with some amazing friends who shared my passion. What started out as a very personal journey took me to a place of sharing everything I began to learn, know and love.
I was personally moved by the life story of a young woman that lost her mother and fiance in the same year to cancer and suicide. Her life was destroyed as she knew it. She ultimately hit rock bottom. A yoga class helped ease some of her pain, perhaps just moments of it, but that was enough to bring her back to the yoga practice.
My husband and I work in the funeral industry and I understand how lost an individual can become. Yoga brings us to living our moments, living our moments helps us appreciate our life as we live it. There is so much more to yoga than the physical aspect and I find true joy in embracing the entirety of a well rounded yoga practice.
“Yoga brings us to living our moments, living our moments helps us appreciate our life as we live it.”
My personal practice helps keep my life in perspective. Whenever I feel overwhelmed accomplishing daily responsibilities, yoga brings me back to a place of balance and reason. Yoga also enhances my physical being as well. Participating in a consistent yoga practice builds physical strength and mobility. I am stronger today than I have ever been.
By offering a variety of well-rounded yoga practices and collaborating with other wellness facilitators within the community and beyond, it is my goal to improve as many lives as possible. By helping others live better lives through the mental, physical, and spiritual benefits of yoga, I am able to pursue my life’s purpose.
I look forward to meeting you at our next yoga class.
Until then, I wish you peace, joy, and wellness.
